Christmas Shipping Update - Royal Mail Strikes and Delays

As you may have heard, Royal Mail workers have been striking over the last few months, and this is set to continue into December with confirmed strike days as followed (as of 1st Dec):

Thursday December 1th
Friday December 9th
Sunday December 11th
Wednesday December 14th
Thursday December 15th
Friday December 23rd
Saturday December 24th
Whilst striking is contained to these days, due to the Christmas demand and continued backlog from previous strike dates, there will likely be issues with deliveries all throughout December.
As a small business, we rely heavily on Royal Mail to provide shipping as it allows us to ship your orders with Royal Mail 48, free of charge, rather than charging a delivery fee. This does mean however, orders from our shop will be impacted by the strikes, and may not be delivered within the usual delivery window.
In order to mitigate the impact of these delays, we recommended ordering as soon as possible to make sure you receive your order before Christmas.
Royal Mail have stated that the last dispatch dates for Christmas delivery are as follows:
- 12th Dec for Royal Mail 48 (our free shipping)
- 16th Dec for Royal Mail 24, and Royal Mail 48
- 19th Dec for Royal Mail 24 Tracked
Please note: these dates have been given by Royal Mail, and so while usually accurate, it's recommended to order as soon as possible to avoid disappointment. Unfortunately, we are unable to offer refunds, returns or discounts for orders that do not arrive in time for Christmas as we cannot guarantee anything due to the strikes.
Whilst we do offer faster Royal Mail services such as Royal Mail 24 Tracked, which are less affected by the delays, we understand that this uncertainty can be quite stressful when trying to shop for gifts and so this is why we've recently added a new shipping option of DPD EXPRESSPAK Next Day for our UK customers.
This does come at an increased delivery fee but, as a thank you for everyone's continued support, we have reduced this from £5.50 to £4.90, taking on some of the cost to ensure we offer this service as low priced as possible.
We really appreciate all the support and patience everyone has shown our small business during these last few months. Whilst it's been a bit more hectic than usual, we fully support and understand the actions of the Royal Mail staff and hope they get what they deserve.
If you have any questions or need any help, please reach out to us and we'll get back to you as soon as possible.
